The ghosts of Split River High are back to haunt our screens once again for a third season. It has expanded from the humble little television show capturing people’s interests, to a show almost everyone enjoys, with dark and exciting elements.
In season 1, they left us with Maddie trying to solve her own murder with the help of her afterlife support group and her living best friend, Simon. Since then, we’ve all discovered that Maddie wasn’t murdered at all, but her body was stolen by another spirit from the 1950’s named Janet, who, Mr. Martin told everyone, crossed over.
Season 2
Throughout season 2, Maddie’s spirit team and Simon’s alive team work together to try to find Janet in hopes of returning Maddie to her physical body, but of course, what is “School Spirits” without the disturbing secrets discovered along the way?
Many thought this season was not going to be as good as the first, and were wondering why it was left on a cliffhanger when it could’ve wrapped up on the first season. But what’s a show about ghosts solving mysteries without its multiple seasons? So, they left us on a cliffhanger in the first season, and another one in the second season.
Season 2 left us after Maddie got her body back, and Simon ran back to the basement to look for her once again. The final scenes give us a terrifying image of Simon somehow being trapped in the same scar that Mr. Martin has been trapped in.
Season 3 So Far
The third season of “School Spirits” has a much darker turn for the living and the dead alike. Simon was somehow trapped in Mr. Martin’s scar, but, with the help of Janet, he escaped quickly. The other ghosts discover he is trapped in the spirit world, but not dead.
The spirits, Maddie, and her friends must solve yet another mystery to get Simon out of the world he doesn’t belong in. Meanwhile, the school is about to be completely bulldozed, so they have to solve that problem as well.
There are so many mysteries and twists and turns in this show, with every episode ending on a cliffhanger every Wednesday, leaving all of us on the edge of our seats waiting for the next episode. “School Spirits” isn’t for everyone though. Many have complained about the numerous cliffhangers and have said there are way too many mysteries to solve.
The show has gotten more popular, however, and the fanbase is spreading really quickly. It’s amazing that more people, even if they weren’t a fan of things like this before watching it, have enjoyed it for the great casting and plot as a whole.
