It’s just about that time to get ready for season two of “Percy Jackson” on Disney + and we finally got the full arrival date for it at the Comic-Con 2025. The arrival date for this new season will be Dec. 10, 2025, and fans are ecstatic.
The show wrapped production of season 2 and has started filming for season 3 with the announced cast members, Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie.
Season 2 of the book-based show will follow Rick Riordan’s “Sea Of Monsters,” where Percy goes on a quest through the aforementioned location to rescue Grover Underwood, a satyr who has gone on his own mission to search the sea for the god Pan, but got captured by the Cyclops Polyphemus.
The co-stars, Leah Sava-Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, and Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, have teased some possible scenes that will make it into the show, and have raised even more excitement for what is to come.
Daniel Deimer has joined the cast as Percy’s half-brother Tyson, a Cyclops. Tamara Smart has been cast as Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, but will possibly only be in a few flashbacks for this season. Andra Day will portray Annabeth’s mother, the goddess Athena.
Zeus, the lord of the skies and thunder sadly had to be recast as Courtney B. Vance, replacing the late Lance Reddick, who died last year, shortly after the release of the first season. It was also announced in 2024 who will play the Gray Sisters. They will be portrayed by Sandra Bernhard (Anger), Kristen Schaal (Tempest), and Margaret Cho (Wasp).
The official trailer of this season has been released on Disney + and fans are making theories and judging it frame-by-frame. The older fans of the books are remaining optimistic, but cautious because the movies that came out in the early 2010’s were not so great.
Newer fans that only watched the first season are incredibly excited for what is to come, and don’t know what to expect of this new season and seasons coming forward. It’s incredibly exciting to see this book series finally come to life after the disastrous movies released.
