KFC is an American multinational fast food restaurant primarily focused on Southern style fried chicken. Colonel Harland Sanders began selling fried chicken in Kentucky in the 1930s, later franchising his recipe and opening his first store in 1952. There are over 30,000 KFC locations and, as of 2025, there are 3,700 locations in the United States.
KFC offers a variety of fried chicken menu items, including tenders, nuggets, family meals, and individual pieces. If you’re ordering bone-in chicken, KFC offers two piece, three piece, four piece, etc. in combos or buckets. If you’re ordering tenders or nuggets, these also come in combos, meals, or party packs. You can also choose wings that are offered in six, 12, or 20 pieces.
If you’re someone who enjoys chicken sandwiches, KFC offers regular or spicy chicken sandwiches that come with white meat on a brioche bun. For sides they have mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, biscuits, sweet corn, and coleslaw.
KFC has become significantly popular in Japan and even has become a Christmas tradition. The “Kentucky for Christmas” campaign launched in the 1970s for the lack of Christmas traditions and Western culture at the time. Doing this was a huge commercial success, with Christmas Eve being the busiest day of the year, many families placing orders months in advance.
With KFC being huge in the United states, it is also famous in other places in the world and has a huge impact on them. KFC is a great choice for any fried chicken lover, having a varying menu and good pricing along with it. If you’re looking for good quality fried chicken, KFC always remains a go-to, and I’d rate KFC an 8/1o.
