Raising Canes is an American fast-casual restaurant that specializes in chicken finger meals, originating in Baton Rogue, Louisiana in 1996. As of late Oct. 2025, there are over 915 locations in the United States and more set to open soon.
Raising Canes focuses on a simple chicken finger menu, including combo meals, tailgate platters, and individual items. These include their chicken fingers, Canes’s sauce, crinkle-cut fires, Texas Toast, and coleslaw. The combos feature the Caniac Combo with six fingers, The Box Combo with four fingers, The Three Finger Combo, The Sandwich Combo, and The Kids Combo with two fingers.
Tailgate platters provide more food for parties or larger groups of people. You can order 25, 50, 75, and 100 fingers, suitable for any amount of people. They also offer squeezed lemonade, iced teas (sweet or unsweet), fountain drinks, and gallon-sized beverages.
My personal favorite meal to order is The Box Combo, which contains four chicken fingers, Texas Toast, fries, and coleslaw. If you’re like me, who dislikes coleslaw, I like to swap it for an extra Texas Toast. This meal comes with a lot of food and has a great price to it as well.
If you want something that’s a little less filling and a little bit cheaper, I would suggest the Three Finger Combo, being the perfect amount of food for anyone. Similar to The Box Combo, the Three Finger Combo comes with three chicken fingers, Texas Toast, and fries, but no coleslaw,
Aside from the great food Raising Canes has to offer, their atmosphere was the thing that surprised me most my first time visiting it. Raising Canes gives a clean but modern type of vibe upon entering. It also has jerseys, historical photos, and specific locations have disco balls and lights to give it a more fun vibe.
