With winter finally approaching, Starbucks launched their classic winter menu with some new additions. For a limited time, you can now order your favorite nostalgic drinks yet again during this holiday season.
Starting Thursday, Nov. 6, the winter menu returned for its 24th time. A fun fact is that the Christmas Coffee Blend at Starbucks has actually been around since 1984; a true veteran!
To everyone’s favor, the Sugar Cookie Latte makes its return, having similar popularity to the Pumpkin Spice Latte during the fall. Many fans on Tiktok have been anxiously waiting for the sugar cookie flavor to return and to get it while they can. To me, this one is super sentimental and a delicious treat for when I’m feeling festive.
Another popular drink would be the Peppermint Mocha, favored by many around the holidays. While I’m not a big peppermint fan myself, I know my parents are. One of their favorite drinks to order around this time is a Peppermint Hot Chocolate, a staple for when we’re Christmas tree hunting.
Next, one of my personal favorite drinks on this menu is the Carmel Brulee Latte. To me, it’s just the perfect amount of sweet while also keeping the strong and delicious taste of the espresso present. This one screams holidays to me and I highly recommend it.
A new addition to the menu this year is the Eggnog Latte. To my dismay, I can’t try this until later this season as they will release it closer to Christmas time, assumingly during December. I know for sure my younger brother will enjoy this one.
Another one dropping later during this season is the Chestnut Praline Latte. I did try this one last year and I remember it being packed with flavor. It was sweet, nutty, and very creamy. My mom really enjoyed this one as well.
Besides drinks, Starbucks also dropped a new variety of festive food items as well, including the Snowman Cookie, Sugar Plum Cheese Danish, Cranberry Bliss Bar, and, brand new this season, the Cinnamon Pull Apart Bread.
The only one I’ve tried out of this selection is the Sugar Plum Cheese Danish. It is tangy and sweet, going perfect with the cream cheese. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting something a little different.
Finally, I’m also really excited to try the Cinnamon Pull Apart Bread. This is a brand new item this year and I can only assume it’s already sold out from just how good it sounds.
So, is the Starbucks Winter Menu worth trying? I say yes, and I know I was really looking forward to trying the flavors again this year. It makes the holiday season definitely more exciting.
