Laila Abicht is a freshman and is in her first semester of journalism. Outside of Journalism, she likes to read fictional books and write and direct screenplays and musicals. Currently, she is working on a book series and producing the musical Beauty and the Beast Jr. Her favorite books over the years are: Five Feet Apart, Hunger Games, Divergent, Harry Potter, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Book Thief, The Outsiders, The Fault in our Stars, All the Bright Places, Twilight saga, and Scythe. Laila is very passionate about history because of its politics and repetition. She loves school just in general. She is an overachiever and works really hard to get to the places she wants to be. Her friends call her “Teacher’s Pet” and she is very proud of that. She is both book smart and street smart and greatly enjoys being a part of both worlds. She is so excited to be working with Norse Notes and can’t wait to see how this year’s staff members contribute to making Norse Notes better.
