Vikings face off against the Cougars
Varsity water polo played against El Dorado
On October 16, the varsity girls water polo team faced off against El Dorado and lost 10-5.
“I think our team needs to improve on our offense in games, because we do well on defense, but not enough people are trying to shoot when we can,” junior Vanessa Madler said.
The team lost their third place ranking in the league. To go to playoffs, the team must win the rest of their games.
“We need to improve on playing better as a team and trusting each other in the pool and putting shots away,” senior Kate Wassom said.
The Vikings put two girls on El Dorado’s main shooter, which force other girls to shoot.
“I think we can improve by communicating more during practice to help us play that way in our game, because when we’re losing we tend to play for ourselves and not as a team,” Madler said.
