Some people struggle to find a sweet treat that also has a kick in the morning; It is difficult to find something tat fits. The perfect pick is a mocha. It is very simple, yet very delicious!

The mocha comes from the historic port city of Mokha. In the 17th and 18th-centuries it was a large coffee trading hub. Coffee beans around here had a natural chocolatey flavor to them, which is where the mocha gets its name and flavor from.

Today, a mocha is made with espresso and chocolate syrup and/or chocolate powder.

Mochas are  served at just about every cafe, but there are two places that seem to stand out to people. The two most popular places to get mochas are Dutch Bros and Starbucks. I have gone to both of these places to try their mochas and review them. 

Dutch Bros is definitely the better pick.

First off, the price of a mocha at Dutch bros is $6.25, while the price at Starbucks is $6. This may make it seem like  Starbucks would be better since it is a bit cheaper, but that is not the case.

The mocha at Dutch Bros has excellent flavor. There is a sweet, almost creaminess of the chocolate yet there is still the espresso flavor. However, at Starbucks it doesn’t taste anything like a mocha. At Starbucks, it tastes more like hot chocolate. There is no espresso flavor and it tastes very watered down. At Dutch Bros, they serve it very hot, while at Starbucks, it is just a bit warm.

If you are wanting to try a mocha, or just looking for the best place to get one, I highly recommend checking out Dutch Bros. It has the perfect mix of espresso and chocolate and it is a reasonable price. A perfect 10/10.
