An Irresistible Chewy Brown Sugar Maple Cookie, made by Ava, but how good is it really? Yesterday a group of students from Oakmont High School put it to the test.
The recipe is perfect for the fall season with hints of pure maple syrup. It was crafted with care and with beautiful descriptions. This cookie recipe was publicly released on Aug. 24, 2025. It’s very similar to the other fall cookies such as the Cinnamon Cookie and the Pumpkin Spice Cookie.
The recipe was used to create some cookies for students at Oakmont High School. The recipe was followed very carefully, following every instruction as precisely as possible.
“Chewy Brown Sugar Maple Cookies are a delightful treat that combines the rich flavors of brown sugar and pure maple syrup into a soft, gooey cookie,” Ava describes.
As the students from Oakmont High School tried this cookie, there were a lot of different opinions on it. Some people liked it and others didn’t. The first thing that the students were interviewed about was the overall liking of the cookie. They were rated an average of 7.69 out of 10.
“I liked the balance of flavor/texture within the cookie. Not overly sweet or insanely dry,” Joshua Montes depicted.
“It wasn’t overly sweet, meaning that it’s more enjoyable,” Alexander Lewis said.
The next thing the students were interviewed on was taste and texture. There was an average of a 3.85 rating out of 5 for the taste and the texture. Many students were passionate about their replies regarding the taste and texture of the cookie.
“Cookie tasted great, [I don’t know] what it was but it was amazing, kind of like cinnamon,” Caden Calhoun stated.
Many students described the taste as being better than the texture, although the ratings were the same for both. Many students described the cookie as too hard, some said it was really enjoyable for their preference. The flavor of the cookie seemed to be liked more by the students.
“Me personally, I do not like the texture. It was hard and I would prefer softer cookies.” Mackenzie Goodridge said.
The last thing that the students were interviewed about was part of descriptions and comparisons. Some students said that the cookie reminded them of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Cheerios. Others said it reminded them of fall and homemade cookies. The students also said that they would prefer the cookie to be a bit larger and a bit softer, with more maple to enhance the flavor more. Around 69.2% of students said that they would eat this cookie again and would recommend it to a friend.
My Review
Personally, this cookie was pretty good for me, the texture was nice and crunchy but not too hard. Definitely more maple would need to be added to enhance the flavor. There could also be more ingredients included in the cookie to make a more unique flavor. However, overall this cookie was really nice.
