From Oct. 15, 2022 to March 17, country music star Carrie Underwood performed 43 concerts across the U.S. along with opener Jimmie Allen for her Denim & Rhinestones tour. It was her first tour since the beginning of the pandemic.

Underwood became famous after she won the fourth season of American Idol in 2005. In the early 2000s, she was the only solo country artist who had a number one song in the Hot 100. Underwood was the highest-certified female country artist on the RIAA’s Top Artists. 

Underwood was said to be one of the most successful American Idol winners, selling 70 million records worldwide. Underwood’s journey in American Idol has led her to fame, and made it possible to put on the Denim & Rhinestones shows in 2023.

“I thought Carrie was amazing!!!” TW said via Sacramento theater review “She has the most amazing voice and her personality vibrates in her music! She is a phenominal singer and puts her everything into every song.” 

“Jimmie Allen was great, would have liked him to be on longer!” Dani, from New York, New York, said. “Carrie Underwood was fantastic! She is beautiful, talented, sweet, and can sing her heart out! I thought the sound was great at MSG! Wow… loved it!”

“How great thou Art by Carrie Underwood the most beautiful rendition I’ve ever heard it brought me to tears she has the voice of an angel God bless you Carrie,” Rebecca Ackley from Hemet, California said.

Most fans were very impressed with Underwood’s performances, however other fans were disappointed with the sound, the DJ, and Jimmie Allen’s performance.

“RAP ROCK IS NOT COUNTRY… Starting with Jimmie Allen we were disappointed,” KR from Tampa, Florida said. 

“Carrie Underwood provided an amazing show, as expected. Jimmie Allen is a upcoming country singer with a great voice!!” Sharon Holland from Tulsa, Oklahoma, said. “Acoustic quality at BOK leaves a lot to be desired, as I’ve also noticed at other concerts at that venue. Could have done without the annoying DJ that controlled the music before show and during intermission. Not exactly what you want to listen to when yo go for a country based concert.”

Despite the bad parts of the show, Carrie Underwood has been an outstanding performer. Underwood’s music in the show had bits of country, pop, hard rock, jazz and more. Underwood’s tour was a success and inspired thousands of people.
