Chay Thomas is a new English teacher here on campus this year. She is currently teaching English 10 and Honors English 10.

“I have taught at Scotts Valley High School, C.K. McClatchy High School, and now Oakmont High School,” Ms. Thomas said.

Ms. Thomas enjoys teaching for several reasons. She wishes to help students who tend to have difficulty with learning.

“This is my third year teaching,” Ms. Thomas said. “I wanted to help make a difference for students who struggle.”

Ms. Thomas has several techniques to try and progress a student’s learning goals.

“I think that I am a reasonable teacher,” Ms. Thomas said. “I try to be fair, but approachable.”
