What made you want to be part of the Health Academy?

KD Singh : “My sister went through the academy… Also I wanted to become a pediatrician, because I like to work with kids and it’s something I would like to do for the rest of my life.”

What do you like about Health Academy?

KD Singh : “I like the connections you make, not only with other students, but also health care workers.”

What are the interviews like for Health Academy?

KD Singh : “The interviews were like a professional interview. You were set up with either two or three interviewers. You also had to get letters of recommendations from two teachers.”

How is Health Academy benefiting you?

KD Singh : “It is providing me with real life skills, such as time management and organization skills.”

What are your plans after high school?

KD Singh : “I am going to Sierra College for two years, and then want to transfer to San Diego State University to pursue medicine.”
