Wanting to spend time together, on Sun. Oct. 12, 2025, 5 of my friends from church and I went to Cool Patch Pumpkins to explore the huge corn maze that changes every year and celebrate their 24th anniversary.
The pumpkin patch was huge, with tall corn everywhere, confusing pathways, and other secret pathways made by people who visited earlier this year. This year was their 24th anniversary, and there were many decorations, including a huge red fanged spider, many minions in cute costumes, and skeleton dinosaurs.
The drive there was long, and the decision to go there was spontaneous, but we all ended up visiting and exploring until closing time. And, although it was pretty expensive ($22 per person for entry), it was super exciting to split up into smaller groups and work together to get up onto the bridges and help each other get there too.
There were also other activities there such as hay climb, a huge pumpkin farm with a large variety of pumpkins, a corn bath, and many food trucks to order food from. However, my friends and I ended up just exploring the corn maze and getting food somewhere else after we left.
We took many photos together and photos of the environment too. The staff was super nice, welcoming, and helpful when buying tickets. As time went on, many more people started arriving and exploring. We even got to see some of our other friends from a different area who also came around the same time we did.
Later on, when it got darker, it got a little frightening, but most of my friends found it even more fun. We were able to play many games, visit all the bridges, and play some tricks on each other in the span of a couple hours that we were there.
Overall, the time spent there was worth it, many memories were made, and it was a great bonding moment for our entire group. It is a great place to spend time with people you care about.
