Recently, leaks of the next Pokémon game have been released, showcasing characters, region location, and concepts of the new Pokémon coming.

As of now, there are eight confirmed characters set to be in “Pokémon Wind and Waves.” The most notable of the eight, aside from the protagonist, are the Professor, the baby, and the Mother. The leaks showed the professor to be some kind of survival guide. The baby in the game is going to act as a symbol of growth as the story progresses. The mother is going to drive the story forward in the beginning by winning the lottery and taking her family on a vacation to an island where the main story will take place.

Most Pokémon regions imitate a real world location. The most recent game, “Pokémon Scarlet and Violet”, of Paldea imitated the Iberian peninsula. This games region is suspected to be an imitation of Southeast Asia and Indonesia. 

Indonesia is made of over 17,000 islands, so many have come to speculate you will be able to travel the islands. It is also believed that the story first takes place in a town in a coastal city based off of Kuala Lumpur.

Through the “Wind and Wave” leaks people have been discovering new Pokémon set to appear in the game. The ‘legendarys’ type has been leaked for their respective games. For “Pokémon Wind”, the player will receive a flying type legendary and for “Pokémon Wave”, the player will receive a water type legendary. 

Like the previous game, the player encounters a special Pokémon early and many have inferred through its name “the seed” that it may grow throughout the course of the game. It was also revealed that, by the end of the game, “the seed” will have grown patterns and it will be unique to each player.
