Everybody’s screaming for Florence + The Machine’s upcoming album called “Everybody Scream.” This is the upcoming sixth studio album by the English band, scheduled to release on Oct. 31, 2025. The album will include 12 new tracks and is supported by a forthcoming UK and EU arena tour.
The thematic inspiration for this spooky album draws heavily from folk horror and horror movies, with themes wrestling with life, death, and nature, making the album feel very autumnal. “Everybody Scream” was heavily inspired by Florence Welch’s, the lead singer’s, experience with a lifesaving surgery during the 2023 Dance Fever tour.
This life changing event has prompted her to explore themes of healing, mortality, witchcraft, folk horror, and the limits of her body. The album also goes into the complexities of womanhood, partnership, and aging. This complex album delves into not just hers, but many people’s hardships and traumas.
The tracklist includes:
- “Everybody Scream”
- “One of the Greats”
- “Witch Dance”
- “Sympathy Magic”
- “Perfume and Milk”
- “Buckle”
- “Kraken”
- “Old Religion”
- “Drink Deep”
- “Music by Men”
- “You Can Have It All”
- “And Love”
Some fans have described the first song, “Everybody Scream” (released in early September) as compelling, haunting, and acutely honest. The song hits like a dark incantation; commanding, really cinematic, and incredibly evocative.
“Everybody Scream” blends gothic ritual with pop drama and finds beauty in the chaos. The singer hasn’t simply returned to the music scene, she has summoned all of her fans back like a spell.
