This story has many versions but this one follows a little girl in a small town who longed for friends. Sadly, the kids her age made fun of her, and mocked her for being deaf. This went on and on until, one day, the other children chased her all the way to her house as she was walking home.
She thought she was safe when she ran inside. Unfortunately, the other children followed her right in. The little girl’s mother had not come home from work yet, so she was alone with the bullies. They chased her up the windy stairs, down the long hallway, and into her bedroom.
The little girl had a small closet in her room, with a floor length mirror along the door of it, and the bullies pushed her in, locked the closet door, and ran away. The little girl had screamed until her voice went hoarse and pounded her tiny fists against the door until they bled.
There was no use in her efforts. She couldn’t get the door to open and she couldn’t call her mother for help. The girl barely made it a few hours until she died from exhaustion, hunger, thirst, and fear. Her mother came home hours later and found her.
The little girl’s ghost is said to haunt her old house after her mother moved away from grief. Many have warned that the abandoned home is incredibly dangerous, and is haunted by a demonic entity, but others have said it’s only haunted by the ghost of the lonely little girl, who just wants her mother.
She is called by many names, but the most common is known as “The Very Lonely Ghost.” If you listen closely, you still hear her quiet sobs in the old home. If you’re afraid of the dark and enter the haunted home to stay the night, be warned. Things you’re not ready for might happen.
