The MLB opening week has left baseball fans very excited, anticipating the rest of the season.
As of today there are only two undefeated teams: the Padres, and the former World Series winners, the Los Angeles Dodgers.
There have been a lot of shockers so far this year, including the Yankees’ new torpedo bat. The New York Yankees hit 9 home runs and a batting average of .400 against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Some MLB teams have caught on and realized how these new bats are increasing the batters’ strength when hitting. A few teams, including the Chicago Cubs, are using these bats; however, the Commissioner will potentially ban them.
So far, most of the MLB stars, such as Shohei Ohtani, the face of baseball, have led the Dodgers to an impressive start. Ohtani is batting .333however, even though this isn’t the most impressive start. The most impressive start would be from Aaron Judge, who has a .417 batting average, 5 home runs, and 15 runs batted in.
In addition to some of the best hitting stats, some standout pitchers include Tarik Subal, who just won the Cy Young award, Paul Skenes, Zach Wheeler, and Blake Snell. These pitchers have all put up great stats to start the season.
In other season news, the Oakland Athletics have also recently relocated to the Sutter Health Park for the 2025-2027 season, while waiting for their new stadium in Las Vegas. During this period, they are going to be changing their name to Athletics and leaving out the name of a city.
