Alex Aster, the 29-year-old author of the “Emblem Island” series and the “Lightlark” series, made an announcement back in Nov. of 2024 discussing the “Lightlark” saga on “Good Morning America”. Not only will there be a fourth book, continuing the beloved series, but there will be a book on the main character’s two different love interests, Grim and Oro.
The book is half Grim’s story from his point of view and half Oro’s story from his point of view. Aster has excitedly explained that fans will get to see a lot more of these characters, how they grew up, what made them who they are in the books, and their surprising relationship with each other before they ever met the female main character, Isla Crown.
Aster has been posting non-stop on TikTok, showing official art that will be in the book and even decided to show an excerpt from it. The book was confirmed to be released on Sept. 30. This will be released as a premium dual-sided volume that includes two complete novellas bound together to create one book.
Along with her new book “Summer In The City” being released in March of this year, and the movie adaptation of Lightlark, Aster has been busy with getting this new book done and ready for the release date. She has succeeded in getting fans excited for all of these projects with her almost daily TikToks that appeal to the audience who reads her books the most. `
Aster is just as excited as her fans for all of these new releases and projects she has been working on, and cannot wait to share them with the lovers of the series. She absolutely loves and shares their enthusiasm. Aster has revealed some excerpts from the book and two official arts from the book as well, to keep the excitement fueled for the release of this amazing new addition to the Lightlark series.
