The Roseville-Placer County area generously donates unopened toys to kids in need of Christmas gifts. The Toys for Tots toy drive takes place from now to Dec. 25, 2024. Although they ask for donations before Dec. 13, they will still accept toys till Christmas.
The Toys for Tots donation drive has been happening in Placer County for over 20 years and touches the lives of so many families who need help. But where do you donate?
There are many donation locations throughout the Roseville-Rocklin area. Donation locations include the Maidu Library, 1530 Maidu Drive; Riley Library, 1501 Pleasant Grove Boulevard; Downtown Library, 225 Taylor Street; along with all participating fire departments.
All gifts that are donated to Toys for Tots will be given to non-profit organizations, which will distribute the gifts to kids of all ages in need.
Toys for Tots is a charity that was created by the Marine Corps to make sure that every kid has a Christmas gift every year. So far in 2024, they have donated 667 million toys to 301 million kids in need.
The Toys for Tots toy drive also has an app available in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store that helps potential donators find drop spots for toys in their area, and also has an option to donate money straight to the cause.
Their website and app offer different ways to help the cause, including hosting a donation event at your place of business, sending a virtual gift via an online store, volunteering to help distribute the gifts, and even applying to get a toy for yourself or your child.
