As the winter season is upon us, Dutch Bros released new drinks on the morning of Nov. 1.
In the past years, Dutch Bros has always dropped drinks for different seasons/holidays. Throughout the year so far, they’ve released summer drinks, a 4th of July Rebel, etc. Last year on Nov. 1, the Merry Mischief Rebel, Hazelnut Truffle Mocha, and snow cap freeze were temporarily introduced to us.
This year, Dutch Bros came out with about triple the amount of that.
“I liked the Winter Rebel from last year better, because I liked the taste better,” said Brooklynn Svaboda, a freshman here that enjoys Dutch Bros.
The three drinks that were released consist of the Hazelnut Truffle Mocha, which can be customized into a cold brew, a blended freeze, or a hot cocoa.
The options of custom also apply to the Candy Cane Mocha, which can also be made as a cold brew, blended freeze, or a hot chocolate.
Finally, the third drink is the Winter Shimmer Blended Rebel. It’s an energy drink with blue raspberry syrup, with sweet cream mixed in and a soft top. Not only did they make new drinks, but they also changed their cup design to a more Christmas/winter type of theme.
“The new drinks are good, and I think they’re good for holiday options,” said Antonia Perez.
After talking to many people around school, and trying the drinks for myself, I found that people who prefer rebels over other drinks at Dutch Bros liked the Merry Mischief Rebel from last year more than the Winter Shimmer Rebel this year.
But, the majority enjoyed the Candy Cane Mocha and Hazel Truffle Nut Mocha from this year.
