Shawn Combs, also known as P Diddy, has recently hit a sour note in his career with extreme allegations against him that involve “sexual assault, sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution amongst other crimes.”
It all started back in Nov. 2023, when Combs’ ex-girlfriend, Cassie, filed a lawsuit against him for years of sexual and physical abuse she endured starting in 2005, when she was just 19.
Hotel footage of Cassie trying to escape the grasps of Combs was released to the public, and it was said to be horrifying as viewers watched Diddy continue to hit, kick, and drag Cassie away from the elevator.
Since then, multiple other victims of Combs have come forward to share their stories, accusing him of sexual misconduct and other illegal activity. He has denied the allegations, and the case remains active.
Authorities searched Combs’ homes in California and Florida in March as part of a federal investigation, carried out by a Department of Homeland Security team that handles human trafficking crimes, in which they found multiple alarming things that connect Combs to the victims’ stories.
Law enforcement seized various “Freak Off” supplies, including narcotics and more than 1,000 bottles of baby oils and lubricant.
It is speculated that most of these “Freak Offs” happened at Combs’ after parties that many A-list celebrities attended, as Combs was known for his huge, elaborate parties. At Combs’ after parties, only close people of the host were welcomed in, leaving everyone in the dark about the chaotic events unfolding just out of sight.
With new information coming out left and right, one of the most surprising allegations against Diddy has to be his involvement in the death of Tupac Shakur.
Tupac was one of the most influential figures in hip-hop history, known for his powerful lyrics that addressed social issues, inequality, and the struggles of urban life. Tupac rose to fame in 1991 and remained at the top of his game until his murder in 1996. Despite numerous investigations, his murder remains officially unsolved, leading to widespread speculation and conspiracy theories.
The allegations surrounding Combs and a purported hit on Tupac Shakur stem from the intense rivalry between East Coast and West Coast hip-hop in the 1990s. Speculation intensified due to Combs’ connections with rivalries and the contentious atmosphere surrounding the music industry at the time.
Rapper Ice Cube released a statement regarding the speculation around Combs and Tupac.
“I’m not saying Diddy got 2Pac killed but I’m not saying he didn’t get him killed either. Diddy has been a snake his entire career.” Cube said.
Eminem has also been very vocal about his opinion on Tupac’s murder and how Combs is a clear culprit. In a song Eminem released named, “Killshot”, Eminem rapped: “Kells, the day you put out a hit’s the day Diddy admits that he put the hit out that got Pac killed, ah!”
Combs was officially arrested on Monday, Sept. 16 and was denied bail twice. Recently, Combs was placed on suicide watch. Sources say that this is “common practice for high-profile individuals as they are admitted to a federal facility and not indicative of his mental state.”
