Foo Fighters guitarist, lead vocalist and former Nirvana drummer, Dave Grohl made a shocking Instagram post where he shares the truth of his infidelity. In the message, Grohl divulged that he recently became the father to a baby born outside of wed.
Grohl has married two women, Jennifer Leigh Youngblood in 1994 and Jordyn Blum in 2003. During an interview with Guardian, Grohl admitted to infidelity that ultimately led to his divorce from his first wife. The Foo Fighters song “Everlong” is allegedly about his experience of falling for another woman while married.
That wasn’t the first time he had cheated. A woman he had dated in the early 1990s publicly shared that he was “busy” with other women during their relationship.
Grohl has been married to his wife Jordyn Blum since their private wedding in 2003. They met in a bar in L.A. in 2001 and after that, the story wrote itself. The couple has three children together; Violet Maye, born in 2006, Harper Willow, born in 2009, and Ophelia Saint, born in 2014.
However, in 2007, Grohl vulnerably remarked that when he met his wife and went out on a few dates with her, he determined that he wasn’t ready for the commitment.
“When I first met my wife, we went out on a few dates and I decided that I wasn’t ready for a serious relationship, so I just stopped calling,” he confessed.
These remarks have shown true to this day, as he’s obviously not ready for a serious, committed relationship. On Sept. 10, Grohl publicly notified fans about his infidelity through a devastating Instagram post.
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her,” said Grohl. “I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re all grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as I move forward together.”
As of now, neither the mistress’ identity nor the child’s has been disclosed. His daughters Violet and Harper have deactivated numerous social media accounts and archived numerous posts to reduce their own public involvement with the situation.
For many years, Grohl has been one of the celebrities who everybody loves. He’s humorous, charismatic, and talented. In a world of fake personalities and botox, Grohl offered authenticity and a sense of comfort to his wide range of fans and supporters. The news of his misconduct was shocking and hurtful to most.
Grohl may have been a fan favorite for all rock listeners and media consumers, but everyone has a dark side and temptations sometimes get the best of you.
