Taylor Swift is back on tour after not performing for five years. Her tour is called “The Eras Tour,” and it began on March 17  in Glendale, Arizona.

For her opening show, she performed 44 songs in the span of three hours. I felt lucky enough to be able to go to her third show in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 25.

Swift is going through each of her “eras” – her different albums – and performing a couple of songs from each one. She has 42 songs which are a part of her setlist for every show, and she performs two “surprise” songs for each concert.

For the Las Vegas show, her surprise songs were “White Horse” and “cowboy like me,” and she brought out special guest Marcus Mumford to sing with her.

Swift had 60,000 people at this concert, and became the first woman to ever headline at the Allegiant Stadium. Her openers were GAYLE and beabadoobee. With no delay, Swift opened her show with “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince.”

Her first era was “Lover,” and she sang six songs for this era. The next album she performed was “Fearless,” which we got three songs from.

The next era was “evermore,” which she sang five songs from. After “evermore,” she performed “Reputation” with four songs.

Swift performed one song from “Speak Now,” and she had a beautiful dress which looked magical.

She performed four songs from the album “Red,” which many people loved. For “folklore,” we got seven songs from Swift.

The next album, “1989,” had many fan-favorites, with Swift singing five songs from the era. After these albums, she performed the surprise songs, one with her guitar, and the other with the piano.

With her most recent era, “Midnights,” she performed seven songs.

Some people were disappointed that she didn’t play any songs from her very first album, “Taylor Swift,” for the second night in Las Vegas. However, she played songs from her first era on the first night of the Glendale show and the first night of the Las Vegas show.

She performed for three hours, which felt insane – and her stamina was amazing. She had screens everywhere and there was no bad seat in the entire stadium. The whole show overall was a once-in-a-lifetime experience; and it felt unreal.

When I first got to the stadium, there were so many people there with unique outfits and everyone was so creative with what they wore. The amount of creativity I saw before and after the show was amazing, and everyone was so friendly.

Swift started off the show by saying, “This is a tour that has been in the making for much longer than a tour usually would. You know, I like to think that I start planning earlier than usual. But, this has been a plan I’ve had, and a day-dream I’ve had, and a hope that I’ve had, a dream I’ve had, for years and years and years.”
