Charli D’Amelio shocks the world as she dominates this season of “Dancing with the Stars.”

D’Amelio is an American social media influencer who started her career by posting dance videos on social media platform, TikTok, in 2019. 

Then, one of her videos went viral, and she gained millions of followers overnight and went from a Tiktok celebrity to an actual celebrity, as she appeared on the Tonight Show, with host Jimmy Fallon. She has partnered with many well-known brands such as Takis, Valentino, Burberry, and Prada. She even has her own line of makeup with the popular brand Morphe, and her own line of clothes at Hollister. 

She also has since won the Kids’ Choice Award for Favorite Female Social Star, in both 2021 and 2022, and even has her own show alongside her family called “The D’Amelio Show”.

Recently she was invited on the famous television series, “Dancing with the Stars.” This show has celebrities partner with a professional dancer and compete against other celeberties until there is only one duo left, and every episode they all perform a dance and the duo with the worst score gets eliminated. 

D’Amelio then rose to the top by getting the highest score almost every week. The audience then got critical by saying that D’Amelio already had 10 years of dancing experience prior to the show, which is unfair to the other contestants. 

Despite the critics, D’Amelio stayed on the top of the scoreboard and never saw the bottom two positions once in the show, and stayed that way until she ultimately won the entire competition.

After she was crowned the winner, many fans took to Twitter to express their feelings on this season’s winner.

“Of course, the one that has 146 million followers wins,” one fan wrote. “I called it from the beginning. Yes, she’s a great dancer, don’t get me wrong. But the whole point of the show is to take a celebrity with NO DANCE EXPERIENCE!!”

There were also fans coming to D’Amelio’s side by saying that there is always at least one celebrity who had prior dance experience every season. 

“Why are y’all acting like there hasn’t been at least one person with a dance background every season since it began in 2005?” another fan wrote.

But no matter what critics say, D’Amelio is still the winner of “Dancing with the Stars,” and together with dance partner Mark Ballas, capped off a fantastic season and an exciting finale of season 31.
