Northern California is known for its sense of outdoor nature with many different activities to do. From the beaches to the forest, NorCal offers many entertaining events to partake in, some of which are just in our backyards!

Sunsplash is a great way to spend time with your family, from mini golf to a fun arcade to play games in. Plus, the whole amusement chain is decorated for Christmas. Sunsplash is open from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. everyday of the week.

Apple Hill is another family-friendly place that has good food, hay rides, and shops to buy quaint little gifts. High Hill Ranch is one of the most-liked stops at Apple Hill. You can pick apples from the many apple orchards and spend quality time with your family.

With just a short hour and half drive, you can go to Tahoe. Tahoe offers a variety of outdoor activities, such as snowboarding and skiing, the beach, and many delicious restaurants where you can eat. Along with these activities, Tahoe also has extravagant hiking areas. To list a few, Cascade Falls, Bayview Trailhead, and Eagle Rock Trailhead are beautiful.

Winter Wonderland at Cal Expo is a great family experience where you can see hundreds of extraordinary holiday light shows. This is open from Nov. 18, 2022 until Jan. 2, 2023. You can gaze at over three million different lights while you travel through 15 acres of mazes, rides, and a newly designed fantasy zone! They are open Thursday through Sunday, starting at 5 p.m.

Northern California specializes in many outdoor activities which many people can be seen enjoying all the way from the beaches to the snowy mountains.
