On the morning of Nov. 1,  Taylor Swift went on Good Morning America to announce her long-awaited tour which will be called the “Eras Tour.”

Considering the fact that she hasn’t been on tour since 2018, her fans went onto the site to see if she would release any new information. In the video, she said, “I wanted to tell you something that I’ve been so excited about for a really long time, have been planning for ages and I finally get to tell you; I’m going back on tour.”

The last time Taylor Swift was ever on tour was back in 2018 for the “Reputation Stadium Tour,” which sold out to over two million people and broke multiple box office records. One of the performances was recorded and posted on Netflix, titled “Taylor Swift Reputation Stadium Tour,” which can still be watched today.

Swift then had to cancel her following tour “Loverfest” back in 2020 due to the growing COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, she has released three more new albums and two re-recordings. To say she has been busy for the past two years is an understatement, but she is putting all that hard work into a fun experience for herself and her fans.

At first, she announced 27 tour dates in total for the United States. Three days later, on Nov. 4, she added eight more days, making the grand total to 35 tour dates.

Unlike her previous tours, the “Era Tour” includes songs from all 10 of her studio albums. In her Instagram post announcing the tour, Swift said, “I’m enchanted to announce my next tour: Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!).”

The opening acts for the concerts include big artists, such as Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers, Gracie Abrams, beabadoobee, Girl in Red, MUNA, HAIM, GAYLE, and OWENN. These singers and bands are well known in the industry, so Swift bringing them along will increase the attention that her tour will get. Swift tweeted, “Feeling like the luckiest person alive because I get to take these brilliant out on tour with me.”

Bridgers took to instagram and posted a picture of her and Swift, with the tour dates that she will be opening for.

HAIM posted on their Instagram a picture from when Swift opened up for their show, with the caption “WHO’S READY FOR ROUND 2? THE ERAS TOUR @taylorswift.”

Abrams has made it no secret that her biggest idol in the industry is Taylor Swift. So when the tour was announced, she reposted it onto Instagram and said in the caption, “@taylorswift you know i will never have the words. THE ERAS TOUR IS HAPPENING AND I WILL NEVER HAVE THE WORDS @taylorswift Thank you… I love you.”

Prices for her previous tours averaged from $50 to $900 depending on the seats. The tickets for this tour will most likely remain the same.

As for the actual concerts, the first date is set to start on Mar. 18 at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona and is expected to end on Aug. 5 at the popular SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

Ticketmaster pre-sales for the concerts are set to start on Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. local venue time for people who have presale codes, and 2 p.m. for Capital One card holders. The tickets for the general public will start to sell on Nov. 18 at 10 a.m.
