Who are the Arctic Monkeys?

Arctic Monkeys are a band consisting of four members, Alex Turner, who is the lead vocalist and guitarist, Jamie Cook, who also plays guitar and keyboards, Nick O’Malley plays bass and provides backing vocals, and Matt Helders who plays drums and backing vocals. They are known for the hit album “AM” and single “I Wanna Be Yours”, which recently regained popularity on the music platform Spotify and social media app TikTok.

Their past albums

Although it has been four years since the release of their sixth album “Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino,” fans have been extremely loyal with over 36 million people streaming them monthly. “Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino” is an indie alternative album unlike “AM” – their most popular album, which is mostly psychedelic rock – but ranges from a variety of genres such as soul and heavy metal, which is what made the album so popular because it has so many ranges of music genres for everyone.

“The Car”

This new album has mixed reviews already. The lead singles, “There’d Better Be a Mirrorball” and “Body Paint” came out on Aug. 29 and Sept. 29, and both had amazing reactions from fans. “Body Paint” is a personal favorite for people already. Many say they love it and some dislike it, but all fans can agree they have been waiting for it to come out. Fans can’t wait until Oct. 21 to see the whole album in its entirety. The genre is rock and lounge music, which is slightly different for the group. The album is 40 minutes long with 10 tracks. Just like “AM,” James Ford is producing “The Car”; Ford produces most Arctic Monkey albums which are always amazing. As we know “AM” is a fan favorite but fans are hoping “The Car” has a variety of music genres just like it! Want to know more, read this article for a review of this album!
