Aftershock is a four-day hard rock and metal festival that takes place each year at Sacramento’s Discovery Park. This year the festival was held on Thursday, Oct. 6th until Sunday the 9th.

Discovery Park contains four sponsored stages: the Jack Daniel’s Stage, Kolas Stage, Coors Light Stage, and DWPresents Stage. The stages were appropriately spread out throughout the park to prevent audio overlap while still being easily accessible to all festival attendees.

Food and drinks were for sale, as well as merchandise from all the bands and fun souvenirs.

After each performance at one stage, fans walk to the next stage to see the next performance while other bands set up on the other stages.

The headliners this year were Slipknot, Kiss, My Chemical Romance, and Muse. Many other big names in metal were also present, like Rob Zombie, Evanescence, Danzig, Lamb of God, Papa Roach, A Day To Remember, Shinedown, Bring Me The Horizon, and many more.

Headliners would play at the end of the night for a big hurrah. This year’s lineup included nearly 90 bands. Fans flocked from all over the country to see their favorite bands play.

Overall, Aftershock created an amazing weekend for rock fans.
