April

With so many people throughout the world social distancing and staying at home in order to slow the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and limit the impact on hospitals, not a lot of events happened during April. Spring break plans were cancelled, and many events were postponed or cancelled, including events that many seniors looked forward to all year.

North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un did not attend a ceremony commemorating his grandfather on April 15, sparking rumors that he was dead or in a vegetative state while recovering from a procedure. He was not seen in the public eye for two weeks, fueling the rumors even more. On May 1, Un was shown in a state-issued photo alive, ending the rumors.
