In an attempt to overcome their tough loss that ended their undefeated record, the varsity football team played against the Nevada Union Miners and won 34-21.

“We ran the ball well,” junior Matthew Bracken said. “In the first half we made some mistakes…but in the second half we came back and shut them down pretty well on defense.”

There were a total of 446 total offensive yards for the Vikings, including 221 passing yards and 225 rushing yards.

“We need to improve on with our mental focus and making sure we get our right blocks and making tackles on defense, and making sure we do good because we have a hard game this week against Placer,” junior Hayden Abbruzzese said.
