On February 7 after school in room 410, the Sacramento Gender Health Clinic, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the community, will be coming to Oakmont to meet and talk about Gender Health with students.

Student Services administrative assistant Sara Stewart played a large role in making this possible for students to come together and be a part of the panel.

“I think that we have a large population of students that would benefit from the education that the Gender Health Center would provide,” Stewart said.

There will be two speakers, Keyko Torres and Rachel Hudson, from the clinic that will talk to everyone and then answer any questions they may have.

“They will provide some basic information, community information, and community support,” Stewart said.

Whoever has questions that may not be simply answered by a therapist, family member, friend, or other peers should come as it may answer some of those questions. The intention is not to harm, but to educate and inform.

“I think…most importantly they’ll be able to answer questions that [anyone] has,” Stewart said “That’s the most important thing.”
